Description

This Slow Cooker Honey Sriracha Chicken is a flavorful and easy-to-make dish featuring tender chicken breasts cooked in a sweet and spicy honey sriracha sauce. Finished with a creamy, tangy drizzle made from mayo, Greek yogurt, sweet chili sauce, honey, and hot sauce, it’s perfect served over rice or noodles for a comforting meal that requires minimal prep and cooks effortlessly in the slow cooker.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken and Sauce

  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup sriracha sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

Drizzle Sauce

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare Chicken: Cut the boneless skinless chicken breasts into large, bite-sized chunks and place them in the slow cooker.
  2. Mix Sauce: In a bowl, combine the sriracha sauce, 1/4 cup honey, soy sauce, and lime juice, stirring until well blended.
  3. Cook Chicken: Pour the mixed sauce over the chicken in the slow cooker. Cover with the lid and cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 7 hours until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  4. Make Drizzle Sauce: While the chicken cooks, whisk together the mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, sweet chili sauce, 2 tablespoons honey, and 2 teaspoons hot sauce in a separate bowl until smooth and creamy.
  5. Serve: Once the chicken is cooked through, serve it over rice, noodles, or your preferred base. Generously drizzle the creamy sauce over the top and enjoy.

Notes

  • Store leftover chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, keeping the drizzle sauce separate. Reheat the chicken in the microwave before serving and add drizzle sauce to individual servings.
  • You can freeze leftover cooked chicken in an airtight container for up to 3 months for later enjoyment.
  • For the drizzle sauce, you may substitute all mayonnaise or all Greek yogurt based on preference or dietary needs.
  • This recipe can be turned into a freezer meal by combining the chicken and honey sriracha sauce ingredients in a freezer-safe bag. Freeze for up to 6 months and thaw completely before cooking in the slow cooker.
