Instructions
- Cook Bacon and Onion: Begin by preheating a large skillet and adding chopped bacon and diced onion. Cook until bacon is crispy and onions are lightly browned.
- Prepare Cabbage: Slice off the cabbage stem and cut the cabbage in half. Remove the core and cut cabbage halves into large pieces about 1 1/2 to 2 inches each.
- Assemble in Slow Cooker: Place the cabbage pieces into the slow cooker and top with the cooked bacon and onions, including the extra bacon grease for added flavor.
- Mix Sauce: Whisk together the stone ground mustard, chicken bone broth, smoked paprika, and minced garlic until combined, then pour this mixture evenly over the cabbage.
