Scale
Main Ingredients
- 8 ounces round brie, cold
- ½ cup cranberry sauce
- 1 tablespoon walnuts, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a quarter sheet baking pan with parchment paper to prepare for baking.
- Bake the Brie: Place the cold brie round on the lined baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Once done, remove it from the oven and let it sit for about 5 minutes to make it easier to transfer.
- Transfer and Top: Carefully transfer the brie to a serving dish or leave it on the parchment paper if preferred. Evenly spread the cranberry sauce over the brie, leaving a half-inch margin around the edges for a neat presentation.
- Optional Alternate Method: For a messier, more rustic look with cranberry sauce dripping down the sides, add the cranberry sauce halfway through baking, then return the brie to the oven for the remaining baking time.
- Add Walnuts and Serve: Sprinkle the chopped walnuts on top if using. Serve the baked brie warm with crackers, pita bread, breadsticks, or fresh fruit for dipping.
Notes
- Baked brie stays melted and gooey for about 10 to 15 minutes after baking.
- To store leftover baked brie, let it cool to room temperature, then wrap tightly or place in an airtight container in the refrigerator, best consumed within 2 to 4 days.
- Reheat baked brie in a 300F oven for 15 minutes or in the microwave using short 10 to 20 second intervals until warm and gooey again.
- Only reheat the amount you intend to eat as repeated reheating affects texture and can cause messy cheese oozing.
